What are the "settings" to get my email program to use my mailbox?

Here are the email settings for any email program (e.g., Outlook, Eudora, MAC mail, Thunderbird, etc.):

Incoming mail server:   mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server:   mail.yourdomain.com
[replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name]

Outgoing mail server does require authentication.

Incoming mail port: 110 (for POP3),  or 143 (for IMAP).
[If you don't know which you should choose, choose POP3.]

Outgoing mail port: 25
(If 25 does not work, try 26, as some ISPs block port 25)

Username is the same one as you use for Webmail (i.e., your full email address).
(If entering "username@yourdomainname" does not work, try "username+yourdomainname")

** No SSL boxes should be checked **

Here are video tutorials showing how to enter these settings in various mail programs:

Before starting:

  1. Make sure your domain name loads in browsers. If it doesn't load, your your email account won't work.
  2. Make sure you have created your email accounts in cPanel .
